Heat can be tough on car batteries. Be sure to have the battery terminals inspected for corrosion and look to see that the battery is securely mounted – especially if you tend to go off-roading. If your battery is old, consider getting it tested and possibly replaced.
Plan for Emergencies
Emergencies happen, even with the best laid plans. So make sure you have an emergency kit in your car, including items like water, a first aid kit, and basic tools.
Also, check to see that your spare tire is in good condition, and you have the necessary tools to change a tire if needed.
